Pacific NorthWest LNG held an open house in Port Edward on November 5, 2012 and another in Prince Rupert on November 6, 2012. The open houses provided an opportunity for anyone from the community to come and learn about LNG, the proposed location of the facility and to find out more about the benefits of the project on the service sector, First Nations and the local community. The open houses attracted a total of 70 members of the community who came out to participate and actively engage with the project team.
Pacific NorthWest LNG is committed to ongoing engagement and consultation activities. The project team visits Port Edward and Prince Rupert every 2-3 weeks, learning more about the community and meeting with various local groups, individuals and businesses. Additional open houses will be held in the spring and subsequent open houses will be scheduled as more information becomes available.
