The LNG facility is in the Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) stage. This is the phase of the project where our engineers and designers scope out the potential layout of the facility and associated components. The project has hired three leading global engineering firms with extensive LNG facility experience to do this work, and we are in the process of embedding up to 30 Canadian engineers with these firms to provide them with LNG industry training and help to build a centre of excellence for LNG engineering in Canada. This detailed design of the facility began in late spring 2013. Pending receipt of all necessary regulatory and government permits and a positive final investment decision in late 2014, construction is anticipated to take about four years, with commercial operations expected in early 2019.
