The LNG facility is in the Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) stage. This is the phase of the project where our engineers and designers determine the layout of the facility and associated components. The project has hired three leading global engineering firms with extensive LNG facility experience to do this work. Pacific NorthWest LNG has also embedded Canadian engineers within our contractors to provide them with LNG-specific experience. When the FEED work is complete, these Canadian engineers will return to Pacific NorthWest to work on the next stages of the project, should we proceed to construction. This detailed design of the facility began in late spring 2013. Pending receipt of all necessary regulatory and government permits and a positive final investment decision in late 2014, construction is anticipated to take about four years, with commercial operations expected in early 2019.
